Sara likes a clear view. As a Division 1 college sprinter, she learned that if you aren’t the lead dog, the view never changes. Sara likes being out front leading, likes the clarity of that view, and loves being in the position of choosing how the race gets run. She also likes the clarity that logic and numbers bring. She discovered this passion working on her degree in Mechanical Engineering. Which, it turns out also so led her to romantic love – she met and bonded with her husband in Thermodynamics class. A heated romance no doubt. In engineering, Sara learned to break down complex scenarios into manageable components to achieve effective solutions. In running, she learned how and when to push herself and motivate others, such as her mother who now runs marathons with her. After reaching the finish line of school, Sara went to work for Accenture in Boston, where she quickly got up to speed in business consulting. Her work included business process engineering, systems integration, functional design, and other long and involved tasks requiring logic and endurance. She also gained a wealth of experience in financial services – helping redesign processes and systems in online banking, equity trading and consumer lending. ACME clients count on Sara to be a valuable, can-do addition to their team. Just as she was at the University of Vermont, where she earned nine varsity letters along with her degree in Mechanical Engineering. Oh yes, she also earned a minor in Studio Art. You may question her logic there, but to Sara life is both a science and an art. And you can’t argue with that. |
