To say Peter Zwingli has a global perspective would be an understatement of continental proportions. It’s not just a perspective, it’s in his blood. Peter grew up in Canada with parents from Switzerland and Britain, and since high school has lived in four different countries. He speaks two languages fluently and a third well enough to (as he says) “get himself into trouble”. As far as we know, he has never worked for the C.I.A. Peter’s globetrotting career was launched from, of all places, Provo, Utah. Peter graduated from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management with an MBA and then joined IBM Canada in Toronto. While there he worked with a group that pioneered implementing office automation tools. They were the first organization in the world to automate systems such as electronic documents and signatures, reference databases and email (back in the day when it was called “electronic mail” and ran on a mainframe). From Canada, Peter returned to the U.S. where he furthered his career by excelling in management positions with Accenture and Learning Point, Inc. His clients included many global behemoths in technology and communications. Word of his management skill apparently spread overseas and he was recruited by ISMATEC SA in Zurich, Switzerland to become its Managing Director. To say it was a challenge would be the second major understatement of this bio. In a chaotic business environment, Peter stabilized the company, rebuilt confidence and trust among employees and customers, increasing sales 40% and returning the company to profitability. And he did it all while speaking German. Das ist gut, ja? To say we are pleased that Peter has returned to the U.S. and joined ACME would be yet another gargantuan understatement. He brings to our clients business expertise and management skill that is truly global in scope. In short, he has made our world a better place. |
