Kari has been known to take some “interesting steps” in her consulting work. She once danced across the floor of a bank operations site after losing a bet with a client. Kari is a highly competitive professional who will do what it takes to motivate a team and successfully complete a task. She also knows how to celebrate. Once, after a MUCH needed equipment update project, she and her team had a “destroy the old stuff party.” It was, in short, a breakthrough idea that everyone enjoyed. Where does this compulsive, get-it-done-and-have-fun instinct come from? You'd have to ask her parents. They will tell you she was on the swim team at age six and a gymnast from the time she could cartwheel in pajamas. She once jumped out of a perfectly good airplane in flight (no betting was involved either). Today? Sure enough – she's a competitive triathlete. She may seem extreme, but she's surprisingly laid back. Kari's consulting career got off to a fast start at Accenture. She worked there for six years, each of which included attending their rigorous project methodology and management training programs. Her specialty at Accenture was systems integration, particularly in mergers and acquisitions. While there, she gained valuable experience managing projects and consulting for some of the largest organizations in the country – in financial services, insurance and retail product industries. ACME clients are well advised to follow her lead, even if it may mean some destruction of old equipment and an odd dance or two. Kari earned a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Minnesota and will graduate from the MBA program at the University of Washington in 2007. She loves to spend time with family and friends, celebrating everything under the sun and having almost as much fun at home as she does at work. |
