If ever there were a guy you’d be glad to have on your side, it would be Joe Dwyer. Not just because he probably knows half a dozen ways to render someone unconscious, but because he gets the job done. As a former Marine of the Year, Joe learned many things in the armed forces – like how to do a proper pushup, how to swab a deck and most importantly, how to accomplish the mission at all costs. The Marines instilled in him dedication, courage and leadership. It turns out those things also make for a damn fine business consultant. His motivation and determination shine through as a project manager, always pushing him and his team to succeed. Joe sees the business world as both a CPA and a sniper – meticulously surveying the situation, determining the best course of action and then acting quickly to achieve results with complete accuracy. Ooh-rah! After serving a nine-month tour in the Persian Gulf, Joe moved to a slightly more hospitable desert, putting his finance skills to work as controller of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. With the unique experience he gained, Joe was able to then completely transform Umpqua Bank’s compliance management system. His logical thinking and hands-on approach have led many a team to greater efficiency, workable solutions and improved all- around compliance. When not at work or at the gym, Joe may be seen doting on his wife and 2- year-old daughter and enjoying the outdoors, just so long as it’s not the desert. He’s had enough sand for a while. |
