Jason Lacey
Frankly, it would be an overstatement to say Jason has small-town roots. He actually has smaller than small-town roots. As a young boy growing up on a Kansas farm, Jason learned the value of hard work and what it took to solve tough problems with limited resources. From building fences to planting seeds and harvesting crops, Jason wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. But even the most dedicated small town boy can have dreams and ambitions that extend beyond his Midwestern horizon.
While his professional career has been varied, Jason’s always held true to his hard-working hometown upbringing. After helping a friend launch a timber company that went on to revolutionize China’s smart management techniques and reforestation processes, Jason found himself at Accenture helping clients redesign systems and implement Web-based strategies to sell products. Today, he is the self-titled head of agriculture at ACME where he has helped land several projects within the industry. Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University, and is also a nationally-recognized workshop facilitator.
Jason, his wife and their young daughter live in Portland and love going on adventures together – from traveling the world to refurbishing old cars and houses. And although he is now happily settled in the city, he still returns to the Kansas farm to lend a hand on his “vacations.” You know what they say, “You can take the boy out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the boy.”
