Jacob is a commensurate movie buff. His favorite film is Shawshank Redemption. And like Andy DuFresne, he gets busy living. He loves to try new things - he has skydiving, scuba, motorcycle driving and bungee jumping notches on his belt. If Jacob worked in the movies, he'd make a great producer. He asks good questions, listens, gets the vision, establishes trust quickly, and removes hurdles so that everyone in the crew can do their jobs. While the director and stars get the spotlight, that's not what excites Jacob. He just likes to figure things out and make things happen for people. Luckily for ACME's clients, instead of heading for Tinsel Town, Jacob earned his BS in Business Management at Cal Poly, then moved to New York City where he developed software and applications in the advertising and tech industries. Next, he transitioned over to big pharma, and managed a series of Oscar-worthy projects for Merck. During his eleven years as a project manager, Jacob has often been acknowledged as the one whose perspective and vigilance made it all possible. But not in a crying at the podium and clutching a statue kind of way. Quietly, and behind closed doors, just the way he likes it. Jacob is probably happiest when he's out back at a family gathering trying out a new method of burning meat over fire. It's probably for the best that his plane-jumping days are behind him. With the recent advent of his first son, he has a whole new world to figure out and make things happen for. |
