Erin Buxton

Erin Buxton makes dreams come true. She doesn't keep a genie in a bottle or wave a magic wand, if that's what you're thinking. No, she's one of those rare individuals who consistently has been able to take a dream and actually make it happen. Her secret? Hard work and careful planning. When she was just a kid, her dream was to one day live and study abroad. Sure enough, years later she figured out a way to move to France and study mathematics. At 19, her dream was to become "a serious career woman." She immediately bought a suit (for inspiration) and then went to work earning not one, but two degrees. Her most recent dream was to raise her family in "a beautiful city with a mountain." In just six months, she orchestrated a move to Portland, Oregon, where catching glimpses of shimmering, snowcapped Mount Hood is an almost daily thrill. For Erin, turning dreams into reality is as simple as picturing a desired outcome and then getting down to business.

Erin's ability to conceptualize change and see it through makes her a valuable asset to the ACME team. For more than 15 years, she's blended leadership, passion, innovation and teamwork to repeatedly get results for companies of all kinds. For one corporation, she developed a new global managed security service projected to create $60 million in the first year alone. Oil and gas, transportation, government and telecommunications organizations, as well as the Athens Olympic Games, have adopted her innovations. To the delight of senior executives at one company, Erin started a young professionals organization to help integrate, educate and network a new workforce into the aging oil and gas industry. As a publicity and outreach chairperson for the Grace Hopper Conference, an annual event organized to help young women achieve in technology, she quadrupled attendance and increased minority participation significantly in just three years.

Erin shares her new life in Portland with her husband, Jason, and daughter, Aurora.
