David Kelleher

Principal

David is what you call a meeting-stopper. He is prone to prolonged and intense listening, his silence typically only broken by a remarkably insightful distillation of what he has just heard, quickly followed by an equally clear and insightful question or decision. Meeting pauses. People think. Meeting resumes in a more focused manner. David perfected this technique dangling on a rappel line, in the dark, a hundred feet below a U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter. David and his fellow Army Rangers called it situational awareness, and you don't last long as an Army officer without it. Combine Ranger School leadership skill with an innately analytical mind and you have a person who can quickly synthesize the background, systems, and goals of a project and get to the heart of how to make things happen and happen well.

With nearly 10 years in the consulting business, David joined ACME from Andersen's Business Consulting Practice, where he focused on high-tech and industrial manufacturing sectors—leading projects in business intelligence systems, merger integration, supply chain management, and customer relationship management systems.

David is a Duke University graduate, as well as a graduate of the U.S. Army Infantry Officer Basic School, Airborne School, Ranger School. David has worked and trained at EDS, Andersen, and Oracle. Diagnosed with MS in 1996, David is active in finding a cure for the disease as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Oregon Chapter of the National MS Society as well as organizing and competing in fundraising triathlons for Destination Cure. David is also Chairman of the Duke University Alumni Advisory Committee for Portland.
