Corey Weider
Corey Weider likes the fast lane. Between the ages of 7 and 18, he raced Go Karts on a local, regional and national scale. As the driver crossing the finish line, Corey was the one in the limelight; yet it was his team working diligently behind-the-scenes that supported his victories. Winning on the track isn't an option without a winning crew in the pit. Corey recognized what it meant to simultaneously excel as both an individual and team member. He learned to deal with defeat, and most importantly, he learned what it took to win.
Corey's high-octane ways carried with him long past his Kart racing career. During his 12 years at Accenture, he supported AT&T's wireless and e-commerce businesses, including the merger of AT&T Wireless and Cingular in 2004. Corey and his team were responsible for shaping the new company's e-business and IT presence - all before the merger was approved by the DoJ and the FCC. By doing their homework ahead of time, the team gave AT&T a 12-month head start on preparing for a successful merger and integration. Corey holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Washington State University. While most professional careers begin after graduation, Corey and a business partner expedited things by founding a consulting company during their college years.
These days you're more likely to find Corey and his family putting the throttle down on water versus a racetrack. Whether it's frozen or liquid, he isn't picky. From revving up the boat for wakeboarding, wake surfing and water skiing in the summer to waxing down the skis and hitting the slopes in the winter, life for Corey and crew keeps moving at a rapid clip.
