You'll never see him sweat. Which is kind of freaky if you knew about his daily bike rides. In short, they're long. And fast. Carl is a member and sponsorship leader for Team Rubicon, a semi-pro cycling team (sponsored by Nike Vision). The guy doesn't rattle or perspire easily. When you're raising money and recruiting riders for a 10-member racing team, you learn to think fast and get people motivated. Carl's a pro at it. The man is cool under fire, even when careening around a corner at 30 on two thin tires. He thrives on pressure-filled challenges, particularly when it depends on getting a team to work effectively together. As he would say, "No sweat." Beyond bringing an athletic spirit and wheels-turning mind to work each day, Carl brings valuable experience in business application management. Before joining ACME, he worked at Freightliner, where he helped implement IT solutions and directed the work of engineers and managers in multiple production facilities. At ACME, Carl is out in front of the pack, leading our clients smoothly through project initiatives. Where does this non-perspiring, fresh-thinking fellow hail from? The land of rain, naturally. He attended Oregon State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in Management Information Systems and Marketing. Not surprisingly, Carl made the Dean's List every term, which shows he hit the books as much as the bike. Today, he is helping others benefit from what he's learned. Not only ACME clients, but also the many young riders whom he mentors in cycling. |
