community

Our life beyond work. Yes, it exists.

As Winston Churchill so aptly put it: We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. And yes, all of us at ACME do indeed have a life. We feel it’s important to get away from work and give our time and expertise to programs that benefit our community. To be honest, it’s part of our growth model and we enjoy it.

Every ACME employee is offered an annual one-week paid sabbatical to devote to community service. It’s been used in a variety of ways – volunteering at a summer camp for kids impacted by HIV/AIDS, serving on committees for Self-Enhancement, Inc. and other local nonprofits, consulting for organizations such as Ecotrust, and assisting in a campaign to reduce hunger. The stories here are just a few of the many ways we’re putting our lives to use outside of work.

Here's a list of some other places where ACME employees donate their time.
